本商品は、第二次世界大戦時にアメリカ軍が使用した爆薬用の電気式雷管のレプリカです。実物を忠実に再現した不活性の安全品です。

電気式雷管は、爆薬に装着し、電気で着火する火工品です。銅製の雷管本体から延びた二本のコードを電気ケーブルにつなぎ、ブラスティングマシンから電気を流して雷管内部の火薬に点火し、爆発により爆薬を轟爆させます。

電気式雷管は、民間企業数社からミリタリー仕様のものが陸軍に納入されました。本商品は、デュポン社製のものを再現しています。

本商品は、当時の実物同様に、布被膜のワイヤを正極／負極で二本、銅製のダミー雷管に接続しています。実物はワイヤが12フィート（約3.65メートル）で、本商品もほぼ同様の長さとなっています。

ワイヤの末端は被膜を剥いでねじっています。これは短絡処理の再現です。ダミー雷管とワイヤは実物同様に紙管に収納できます。

This product is a replica of an electric detonator for explosives used by the U.S. Army during World War II. It is an inert safety product that faithfully reproduces the real one.

An electric detonator is a pyrotechnic device that is attached to an explosive and ignited by electricity. Two cords extended from the main body of the copper detonator are connected to an electrical cable, electricity is passed through the blasting machine to ignite the gunpowder inside the detonator and detonate the explosive by explosion.

Several private companies supplied military versions of electric detonators to the army. This product is a reproduction of the one made by Du Pont Company.

This product has two cloth-coated wires, positive and negative, connected to a copper dummy detonator, just like the real one at that time. The real wire is 12 feet (about 3.65 meters) long, and this product is almost the same length.

The ends of the wire are twisted with the coating removed. This is a reproduction of the short circuit treatment. The dummy detonator and the wire can be stored in the paper tube just like the real thing.
